Frame ID
I am looking at a frame that is supposedly a 79 f250. The cab is off a 73 (gas tank behind the seat) Fenders interior etc are all different colors. The I6 is running great and the 4x4 funtions properly. All I want off this truck is the frame and driveline. How do I establish that the frame is in fact a 250 not a 150

leaf springs in the front is a big indicator that the truck is a f250. the 250 and the 350 both have leaf spring front ends on the 4x4s. check the axles to see how many lugs the wheels use. the f250 will use 8lug axles.

On the top rail of the frame, passenger side, there should be 2 places with the vin number stamped into it.
Between where the rad & firewall would be then again where the cab would cover it up.
