a ford 360 is a big block V8, prolly around 215hp, most parts interchange from 352 all the way to a 428, a 360s stroke is 3.5 and the bore is 4.05, you can convert a 360 into a 390 by changeing the crank rods and pistons, the blocks, heads, etc are the same, you can make good power out of a 360, with a performer rpm intake, holley 650 carb and a set of headers, but while your in there you just as well convert it to a 390.

A good healthy cam and a port job on the heads doesn't hurt either.

I just built up a 360 to replace the old 240 in my 1969 F100. The 360 may not be the highest power motor there is but I am extreamly pleased with the results. I put in a R/V cam and used the stock exhaust manifolds. I mostly pull loads of hay and building materials on a 20' tandem axel trailer.
