Code 18 ??!!
I have ran my checks on the codes. I get code 18 everytime.
What is code 18 on a 87 BII.
The book says. SPOUT circuit open and Erratic IDM input to processor/ SPOUT circuit grounded.
What is the IDM and SPOUT??

IDM = ignition diagnostic monitor.
Spout is a plug that disables the timing advance for when you sent the base timing.
You having a problem with the ignition system and you should run the pinpoint tests for the code. If you need a copy drop me an email and remind me about your truck and code.
