fan swap

I have a simple problem. I want to swap out my standard fan for an electric one. Currently I have in my hands a 14" electric.Will this be ok ?.
I have a 1984 f-150 4x4 with 351w auto trans,33x12.50 tires,and no other mods yet.

I put an electric fan from a junk Hundai on my GMC Safari van and it does a kool job.
Has been on it for about 4 years noe and I like it.
Don't know what one will do on your bigger engine.

I just measured my blades and they are 15". Be sure the fan turns fast enough and blows in the right direction.
The first fan I tried would not turn fast enough.

The fan I have is out of a dodge caravan, witha 6 cyl .I will try it this weekend and see.
