vaccum nightmare
I bought this truck already torn appart with a bad head.
A new head has already been installed along with a complete carb overhaul. my only problem know is the last guy riped all the vaccum lines off and they all broke and cracked. and all i have to go off is the diagram in the front of the eng comp. but every thing is abr.
the letters on the carb are: EGR, 3, S, E, VDV, TVV, BV, WOT
other letters on diagram I do not know what they represent:
TVS, VCV, BPL, A/CL DV
Does any one know what they represent?
can I block some of them off and call it good?
which ones are important?
3 = ?
S = Spark advance
E = Emmisions
VDV = Vacuum delay valve, A small round device in the vacuum line.
TVV = Thermal vacuum valve
BV = ? Possible "Carb bowl vent valve"
WOT = Wide open throttle valve, Mounted on the front right side of the carb.
TVS = Temperature vacuum switch
VCV = Air Cleaner vacuum control valve
BPL = ? Possible "Backpressure Transducer
A/CL DV = Air Cleaner duct vacuum valve
If you valve cover has a tag on the front that has a bunch of numbers, that is the "Calibration label". I need the long number on the top and on the right, the numbers after "C". "R" and "S".
I will send you a photo of the diagram!
