How can you tell if you have a cabin air filter and where is it located? The owners manual says to replace at 15k mi if equipped but shows no reference to it. Also there is no mention of it on the window sticker. I have flopped down the glove box and looked and there is a panel with about approx 8 screws on it, however it does not look like something you would be taking apart every 15k mi. Do all f250 sd's have a cabin air filter??? maybe just diesel?? I dont want this expensive truck to stink inside.
This is a really good question and I too would like to know. I would also like to know if there is an aftermarket filter that is better than the factory filter. I hear about the Heppa brand or grade filters and would want the best if possible.
I have replaced mine on my 1999 Contour...
Open the hood and on the passanger side in the wiper blade area there should be 4 to 6 screws to remove ...Take out the pannel and it was there... By the way I could have left it in for another 15,000... Not very dirty here!
