wild bouncing
my 1997 f450 truck bounces like a wild bull when i hit a small bump at 45 mph . it is so bad i have to jam on the brakes and come to a stop. i`m driving a propane delivery truck so i`d like to fix it asap

the only thing i can say to help you is just take the truck to a dealer and have them look over the thing, keep it for 1 night, and let them see what possibily can be wrong with it. i mean i wouldnt know it is i just got a 00 f250 and i had a 86 f205 and the 86 rode like hell and the 00 rides 100%better. maybe you should just get a 00 or 01 450 or 550. that is all i can do to help man sorry.

I had the same problem on my F250 S/D. What you need is a steering stabilizer. These come out standard on the 2000 models. I paid about $150.00 and it took 1/2 an hour - problem solved. Ford should have paid for the part and the fitting. See what you can do.
