You can see in my sig what kind of F-150 I have. I need to buy a bedliner and I have no idea what is a good one. This is my first truck I have ever owned. Can someone point me in the right direction on a good bedliner. I want to make sure it does not rust the truck under the bedliner.
Nice truck! What kind of liner do you want? Drop in plastic liner or spray-on liner? If your bed is not already scratched up, a drop in liner works pretty good and is the least expensive. Thats what I have, I take it out every 6 months and clean the bed just in case. As for spray on liners, everones got their favorite. I would just make sure you get it done at a good shop and get a written warranty.
i would go with a spray in liner. there are places that also sell kits so that you can put them in yourself if you would like. if you do dit yourself it saves you alot of money and it is alot less maintenance having to remove it everyonce in a while to clean under it and stuff. with the spray in you just put it in and leave it. for the price of a plastic liner you can put a spray in or roll on line yourself for about the same money and just some of your time. eastwoodcompany.com has a kit that you can buy and it come with a spray gun all for about $150. you can also get a roll in liner. that is one you use a roller to put in and not a sprayer to knock out any confusion. you can get them anywhere from $50 to $150.
If you do a search in here you'll find quite a few discussions on box liners. Both the drop in and spray on types have their good points and bad points.
This is what I have came up with. I have done a google search and read tons of reviews.
The Rhino spray on and Line-X spray on are the best out on the market (from reviews). I am going to get one of this just not sure which one. I will be looking for the dealer who will give me the best deal in my area.
Don't use the plastic drop ins - tough on the knees. If you ever get in the back to move something out.
As far as the DYI's: I have tried the cheap roll on type - sucks, doesn't last. I do not know about eastwood.
I have a sprayed in Bullhide Liner. Love it. Thick and real good at self-mending. As long as you don't scrape it with for example a chunk of 2x2 SQ tubing like my buddy did. They patched it for me, and you can barely tell. I am sure Rhino, Bulldog, etc are all as good.
I guess what I am getting at with my two cents is that it is a great add!!!
