Question calipers sticking

Have any of you had problems with break calipers sticking. I have a 2000 Exp and noticed while doing my breaks that they do not release completely after the break is released (they drug lightly while it was still up on jack stands). I also have developed what sounds like a really loud road noise that just gets louder the faster I am going (it is really loud st highway speeds). Could this be the breaks dragging on the rotors? By the way, I have 85,000 miles on my Exp, with 45,000 on my tires. Any input would be appreciated.

Caliplers do stick if they are not lubed at regualr intervals. I beleive the manual calls for every 30K miles.

Uneven wear or offroad tread will make more noise from the tires. I doubt it would come from the brakes, because unless you ride the brakes, the pads will move away from the rotor after just a little bit of driving. The exception might be if they have no lube and have been subjected to salt without any cleaning so corrosion hs formed in the calliper slides. It's prettey easy to take off the calilpers, clean and lube the bolts and reinsert them in the boots. Special high temp brake grease is necessary.

I recently bought a 2001 Expy EB and it developed a grinding noise while braking. While checking the brakes I found that the front right (passenger) side caliper was sticking and had worn the pad all the way down to the plate. It had toasted my rotor. big gouge marks on the inboard side. Luckily the new rotor only cost $50.00 and the lesson was learned. Lubricate your calipers and check your brakes every so often.

nope, all you have to lube is the caliper slides.
