hey guys i called an ex-ford transmission tech, i told him my symptoms, he said it sounded like a flex plate to him(clanking,clattering), tranny shifts fine, fluid is red, had tranny flush/fill 4k ago. Has anybody ever replaced this plate before??

 

What year and motor?

Check to make sure the bolts to the torque converter arent loose. also you should be able to look up at the flex plate thru the inspection cover.
