Unhook the cht see if it makes any change. Usually the check engine light comes on with the cht sensor. Is the check engine light on when running?

No. I wish....at least then I could get a code from it!!

I took off the K&N while it was running....stalled. I am in the process of cleaning it......checked voltage at coils, good there. Am going to check all fusus now. Seems I have a 2a draw from somewhere.....maybe there is an elec problem.....

Even if the check engine light is off you might be able to get some codes from it. Try doing engine off and engine running tests with a scan tool and see if anything shows up.

So I tested the other coil with the test light. Does not shut down at high rpm....so I know the other one was junk.

The one on the pass side has a funny mis on two of the towers.....every now and then.

I unplugged the #5 wire, and it actually ran better. That tells me two of the wires are backwards....but I checked them AGAIN.

Then I unplugged the #3 and it made no difference.

Grrrrrrrr......

Check the plugs, I've had one affect the other on these things. Sounds wierd but it can do it.

After reading this it got me thinking. I am putting a 98 intake manifold on a 2000 motor with PI heads. Does anybosy see a priblem with this? The interchange manual said the switch was OK.

If you don't mind, I'm going to stick my head in here where it don't belong. This sounds like an air intake problem. I think you either changed the amount of air coming in or the computer is getting the wrong input of what is comiing in and it can't compensate for it. (just a thought)

I dunno. Now both coils are new.....same deal.

Rechecked the wires again.....same deal.

Sprayed around with CRC again....same deal.

Started unplugging vac lines while running.....caused stall.

Now I'm set to pull the wires and plugs to visually inspect.....

Cant reply to your other post there seems to be a problem there.
Wires should be about 7000 Ohms per foot. 1Ft=7000 Ohms
2Ft=14000 Ohms and so on.
