Firewall solenoid caught fire

Well just bought my roomates ole 89 bronc it is a piece trust me. had some serious electrical problems so we had been starting it with a jerry-rigged system for the last year. Well I bought it yesterday went to pick it up today. finally get it cranked up, about 30 seconds later, the starter solenoid on the firewall melted and went into flames. well I only need to drive the truck to my house and then one more time to its dissassembly point.
It looks like I have to run a quick rewire for teh whole elec system this week.
If yall never hear from me again. It did not good very well.
