No differences in the bodies, just be sure to get one with the same vacuum advance ports that you currently have. Since you are looking to replace, have you considered upgrading to the electronic ignition, like a Duraspark or Pertronix?

Not sure if will help. Believe there where 2 distributors one which is fairly limited as far as interchanging, and the other where there are a number of different years to choose from. The difference is probably in the vacuum advance that Mike G indicated. If you post the part number, may be able to look up in Hollander interchange book.

If considering converting to HEI/durospark there is a great article in the FTE 'electrical section' posted by Fordnut71 on 3/15/04. Open up web site that member sparky posted. I intend to make the conversion soon.

good luck,
dave

Came up with a C5TF12127A and appears the dist. is also used 65/66 mercury, and thunderbird as well as the trucks. I have a 66 thunderbird 390 in my truck and has the same dist. #.

Anyhow, not sure much help.

good luck,
dave

Hehehe...thanks daveengelson. I'm suspecting distributor problems in my 66 Thunderbird & was wondering about swapping the one from my truck's 352 to verify.
