Over the weekend I had to deliver a project I built for a customer to eastern North Dakota and stumbled upon this yard. I stopped to talk to the owner but he wasn't in so I stood out near the road and took this pictures. If this ain't heaven it's darn close.
I've seen yards like this in Colorado!
FULL of old 50's cars & trucks!
And not just one yard, SEVERAL!!!!
Only problem is, they don't want to sell you just parts off of them, they want you to buy the whole vehicle!
Which could be good or bad, depending on what you're looking for!
See, where is a parts lot like that when I need it? Would make it a whole lot easier in my search for a front clip... not that I have any cash to buy one right now.
If I could have found a truck like one of those to start with, maybe I'd actually be close to having something road worthy. Although I probably wouldn't have built myself an extended cab, then either.. oh well it all works out i guess.
You didn't say where in eastern N.Dak. I happen to be in the area. I wouldn't mind knowing where this place is. There is another place with even more vehicles by Wishick. One by Fargo that has some panels and F-1s as well. It is good to locate a few sources.
I wish there were yards like that around here...some stories to be told in that yard I bet...I would love to have an older than my 60 ford to tinker with...
