Does anyone know if the 2001 F150 had the FX4 option? I was looking at a truck the other day in the dealers lot and it had the FX4 decals on it. I didnt have time to crawl under it to look for the Ranchos and skid plates. The trucks in great shape and only 28,000 miles. Im thinking about test driving it when I have some time off. Thanks for all your help. Joks
the only difference between the 2001 OFF ROAD and the 2002 FX4 is the badge, the wheels are different, and the 2002+ have Rancho shocks. If the 2001 has an FX4 badge the previous owner put it on.
That's correct. I have a 2001 OFFROAD 4x4.
2002 is when they changed to FX4 and added the 5 spoke wheels and Rancho shocks.
The 2001 had stiffer shocks on the OFFROAD 4x4 than the standard 4x4 along with 17" directional looking wheels and skid plates.
The FX4 also has skid plates.
