easy out removal?

easy out removal?

I successfully used an easy out to get a stripped starter bolt off my truck this weekend, BUT ... now how do I get the easy out out of the bolt? It is wedged tight. I'd like to be able to use it again - are they considered disposable?

If you can't tell, this was my first easy out experience.

Put the bolt in a vise and turn backwards, let the easy out spiral out.

I did that - the bolt turned in the vise jaws. I tightened that sucker down, too. Maybe I need a bigger vise.......

Put the easy-out in a vise and tap the broken bolt off of it, it works for me. FSC

Grind two sides of the bolt flat and put it back in the vise. Or put the easy-out in the vise and turn the bolt with a visegrip.
