I looked at mine the other day.

A thought, wouldn't it be easier to have a piece tacked to the rear bumper and turned up to prevent the bolt cutters having access.

Since I don't have one, I can't tell but that sounds like a good idea. I'll take a look when I get my spare and lift mechanism.

yeah, a piece of crome or stainless about 2 inches bent up and tacked onto the bottom of the bumper I think would resolve access for bolt cutters.

The cable holding my spare tire snapped while i was driving down the road causing the whole tire to fall off, Thank God no one was behind me!

I agree, that would be the easiest and cleanest way to protect your spare tire cable. I don't think there's any other easy way to get to it other than between the bumper and the body.
