Yes, it's official! The FTE Purchase Program is up and running, full steam! All the basic terms are in the sticky post at the top of the New Truck Buyer threads. But that's NOT the "huge" news.......
We started a promotion here over the weekend of 6 months free gas for our full-size SUVs and pickups. A $500 gas card for Explorers and F-150s, $750 for Expedition, Excursion and Super-Dutys, good for in-stock purchases made through March 31st. After talking it over this morning, we've come up with 2 things:
1) "Free Gas" is not workable with FTE, so we're just going to take those dollar amounts off our regular price. That means Explorers and F-150s (except Lightning) are now priced at $700 BELOW invoice, and Expedition, Excursion and Super-Duty are at $950 BELOW invoice! This new, additional discount DOES apply to Lightning. That means you can now buy a Lightning for INVOICE!
2) Because of the nature of the FTE program, we're extending this offer to FACTORY ORDERS, as well as in-stock vehicles.
So, what it all means is this: purchase any Explorer or non-SVT F-150, in-stock or order, for $700 below invoice, or Lightning for invoice. Purchase any Expedition, Excursion or Super-Duty (NO exceptions) for $950 below invoice. If you qualify for A/D/X/Z-plan pricing, then it will be $700/ $950 below those plan's prices.
You keep any rebates you qualify for, and we'll still guarantee the base rebate that's in effect at the time of your order. This offer is good through March 31st, 2004.

Dang, Jeff, that's a heck of a deal. Now if you guys could get remote deliveries cranked up I know what Ford dealer would be at the top of the sales volume heap! - WOW!

Seriously? Cheapest way I know of: one-way ticket on Southwest, Houston Hobby to Buffalo($99), we pick you up at the airport (N/C), stay the night in a local hotel ($65), you drive the truck home ($100 for gas, food and one motel?).
Yes, seriously. That's quite a trip for a truck, but the difference in price is enough to make it worth it. I'm going to check into it.
I am assuming that the $950 is in addition to the $500 xplan rebate? Which means the $2500 from ford, $950 from your dealership, and $500 from xplan?? This can't be right...can it?
Yeah, it is. X-Plan minus $950 minus $2500 gas-engined rebate, minus $500 X-Plan rebate. Must be ordered by March 31st, truck must arrive here by April 30th to get $500 X-Plan, but the $2500 base rebate is guaranteed regardless of delivery date.
We can get REALLY burned if Ford has a low rate and then takes it away. Also, I know of no bank, FMCC or otherwise, that will lock-in a rate for more than a week. So, what we do is guarantee FMCC's incentivized rate within a 2% spread. In other words, if they're offering 0.9% in lieu of the rebate when you order, and it goes to 1.9% then you'll get 1.9. If it goes to 4.9, then you'll get 2.9% (0.9 + two points). If they discontinue the low rate altogether, we'll write the loan for 2.9%. If the rate goes down, then you'll get the lower rate.
1956MarkII will the FTE purchase program and the benefits discussed above work for me? I ordered an F-150 XLT from you fine folks at Van Bortel about two weeks ago (3/2/04 I believe).
Mark does ford have a program that locks in financing rates or just rebates, I read about it in a different thread and just assumed it was for financing also. One more thing do you have any F150 supercab lariats in white on your lot?
Ford's program for guaranteeing rebates is only good through their smallest, "mom and pop" dealers. Which means they'll gurantee the rebate on an order, and it will take 6 months to get there. The guarantee we're offering is our dealership's policy; it has nothing to do with Ford.
