throttle surge

throttle surge
Anyone feel a surge in the throttle? Yesterday while walking my 04scab4x4 off the wet grass in my yard, the engine surged three or four times without me touching the gas pedal. I was just touchiung the gas to keep the wheels from spinning and it did the surge thing. Any ideas? Thanks

Funny you should mention it. I just pulled up this board to ask the same question. It was cold this morning (about 25) and I was coasting down toward a stop sign and the engine surged ahead. My foot was not on the gas pedal. It was almost like cruise control kicked in and wanted to go 35 mph.
It is going in for its first service, and to add skid plates, on Thursday, so as long as I don't smash it up before then, I will ask at that time.
