I know this might not be the right forum, but what the "hey". Can anyone remember the brand of the braking system that was used last year for a FTE "group purchase"? I know it was a braking system, but I can't not remember the manufacturer.
Also, can anyone recommend any other good aftermarket brake systems for heavy duty trucks? Thanks in advance...
I recently installed EGR brakes. While I paid more than the ART rotors would cost, the pads and rotors were available when I placed my order. I have heard the ART rotors take awhile to get shipped. I have been very impressed with the braking feel, very smooth and controlled with no pulling. I will be lifting the truck as well and ordered their brake line kit.
I have seen several companies that offer the cryo'ed rotors. I can't comment on the actual rotor that is use, but the cryo process can't be any different between companies. You could purchase your own rotors and have them cryo'ed.
I agree with your first line - this may not belong here. I dont think alot of the guys here are racing their Super Duty trucks. The idea is stupid as hell. The concept of racing is to have the lightest vehicle configuration.

HUH????
Truckman,
Who mentioned anything about racing their truck? He just asked about a group purchase on rotors and pads!!!!
The truth is, the stock rotors on SD's suck...
Rockfiv0,
The group purchase was on the ART rotors. The website is in the earlier post. I have them on the front, and they have been great...

truckman, put the bottle down, just....just put it down, now, okay?
Since it has been brought up. racing Superduties is not all
that un heard of. I have seen some supped up diesels put some
rice burner cars to shame.. Sure what you say about weight is true in most racing circles. But it is sure fun to pull up next to a snot nosed kid in his supra and spank him with a big heavy truck.
As far as racing trucks go... I saw a basically stock looking 85 or so F250 4x4 pulling tens in the 1/4 at NE dragway last summer. SICK! He was spinning sideways 1/2 way up the track! It was lifted with either 33s or 35s on it too! I couldn't believe my eyes, but the boards don't lie do they...
Hey look at the show trucks. They have have set up a SD or two to really stomp some power. Had the one on last night that he set up with a Banks system..
