I've got a 1987 bronco II, it's a two wheel drive with a 2.9L V6 engine. It is giving off emissions and I can't get rid of them. The truck was wrecked two years ago and hasn't moved since then. I recently decided to fix it. I have replaced the driveshaft, the air filter, the fuel filter, I cleaned all the bad oil out and put new oil in it and I changed the oil filter.. I've changed all the plugs and the plug wires, and I've also changed the pcv valve, but I can't get rid of these emissions, what do I need to do to get rid of them? It is also making a winding noise and when I accelerate it gets louder. I've been told it is an upper valve train noise, but I wasn't told what to do to get rid of it. What do I do?

you didnt say what part of emmisions it failed, but when mine did, all i did was replace the air filter,i cleaned out the housing of it too, and ran it about 5 to 10 min on the freeway, and it passed no problem, try it. i dont know about the winding nois though.
