i need advice
i have a 300 6 cyl i'd like to have someone rebuild, how much would i be looking to spend??i t has 150k miles and it constantly needs low pressure no matter what i try. i have little knowledge and someone told me it sounds like its on its ways out. but the engine still seems so strong. it starts out high on gauge and after 15 mins of running it drops to low pressure with a slight knock. its alwasyu had a lifter noise. anuy help would be appreciated

Sounds like worn bearings to me, Usually a reman block with run $1000-1200 depending on where you look, to have a machine shop rebuild the motor usually runs about the same, if you go the machinist and have him keep the work minimal and the motor is in overall good shape, you might be able to reuse parts and save money, maybe. Whatever you do take it to a machine shop that comes highly recommended, Good luck
