Problem finding aftermarket accessories...
I am having problems locating aftermarket things for a 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty with Power Stroke turbodiesel and 5 speed.Everything I see in catalogs is for years 92-96 and totally skips 97 (and 98 in most cases) and goes to 99-00.A friend of mine has a 1997 exactly like mine (except his is 4WD and is a 350 w/single axle) and he has trouble too.His dad has a 97 250HD too.Two other friends have 1995 trucks matching above descriptions (one is a ton,the other 3/4,both 4WD 5 speed).Is anyone else having this problem or have any idea why it is like this?I can tell no difference in my 97 and my friend's 95.I hope someone knows.Perhaps this was the beginning of the conversion to the Super Duty series.Any ides?

The 92-97 should pretty much be the same truck. There is no heavy duty/super duty that is a 98. The 97 was the last year for the old body style and I doubt they made any major changes to it from the 96's. Whatever you're trying to get, I'd just see what the return policy is and get the stuff for the 96's. You shouldn't have a problem though.
