Big Problem!!
My son has a 76 4x4 F250 high boy automatic (just got it three weeks ago). He called and somehow he lost his left front tire, he's not sure it happened but I feel last time he changed the tire (last week) they forgot to tigten the lugs after they lowered it. Anyway we got the tire back some lugs and bolted it back on. I drove it the short mile back home. The wheel made a hell of a racket but the buy who helped me mount it said the plate in the back of the wheel must be bend when she dropped on the road. Looks like I should pack all the bearings and lube the front end, and have to replace the manuel 4x4 **** on the wheel Can anyone think of any other check outs I should do?nKnow where I can find a 4x4 **** for the wheel? I can't seem to find any 4x4's in the juck yards here..

You might check the alignment amd make sure nothing on the front is cracked. I had a friend that lost a Right front on his Super Duty, it broke a front axle shaft. Get it checked over real good.

Chevy used to be able to get these *****. they were yellow and said spicer on them otherwise the were the same, but thats been 8 years ago. If the pin boss has broke you can redrill it 90 degrees.The free and lock wont line up, but it'll work.

sounds like you broke the roller bearing cage. they make a helluva a racket when they let go.
chances are you will have to do the u-joint and bearings and races when you get it all apart.
