F53 Diagnostic Connector
Does anyone know where the diagnostic connector is on the Ford 2000 F53 motorhome chassis? Ford motorhome at Lake Havasu says under the dashboard. I find a five pin nearly square connector, but it doesn't look like the OBD connectors. It looks more like the earlier EEC-IV. My chassis was sold new in California. How can I tell if it has OBD-I of OBD-II? Any help appreciated.

F53 Diagnostic Connector
The 5 pin nearly square connector that you found is most likely for an electric brake controller. If you really want to confirm this you can check that one pin is hot all the time, and another pin is only hot when the brake pedal is pressed. Unfortunately I am not sure where the F53 Diagnostic Connector is.
