Hi all, just a story to share -
Today a Benz E-320 pulled up next to me. Now, I think to myself "5K Lbs vs 2K Lbs, he'll smoke me". Boy was I wrong, he pulled out about 2 seconds before I did, and I still left him behind.
Just a word of warning to all who has these things Mod.ed like I do (135HP chip, K+N air filter, 5'' Exhaust, etc.) - Be careful. If you think about it a 6 wheel'd truck going faster than a Benz is scary
Oh well, it did put a smile on my face the rest of the day though
Any 6.0L vicitory / defeat storys you guys have to share ??
That thing got a hemi. No its got a powerstroke. I like this thread. Three Hemi's down several to go. Im getting hysterical. Hemi power vs. ford power . No comparison Hemi strikeone, two three OUT.
thought I was going to have a chance at a SVT 150 while testing the new predator settings... but he looked and turned off... guess he had seen me catching him on the 360 svc road south of 20 where there's nothing but a few stops signs...
and another hemi 1500 just wimped out too....
I'm just going to have to pout - I never get ANY fun....
Since I got this truck I find myself praying for red lights just so I can race whoever pulls up next to me. It's been a blast. I've never had a truck this fast. Oh and I'm still bone stock, can't wait to get some mods in this beast.
The other day, I was sitting at the left turn lane to go onto the interstate. At this particular location, there are two lanes and the right lane has to merge quickly into the left lane just after the turn. Most people just line up in the left lane so they don't have to fight the merge.
I always hope that I get to be first at the light because there is always someone who wants to pull up in the right lane so they can be first to the interstate.
Anyways, this day I had a last generation Maxima pull up and become very shocked when he couldn't pass the Big Bad Truck. I had him up to about 50 mph and then he started passing me just as the merge came. He had to drive on the shoulder a bit to clear me.
Although I may not have beat him, I'm not too disappointed with the performance of my behemoth.
With a chip, SVT Lightnings and GT Mustangs don't stand a chance. Dodge Hemis are a joke. Even the new Chevy SS won't stand a chance. Trust me, I have raced all of them to their dissappointment. These trucks are scary fast when you open them up with less than a $1000 worth of mods. The next thing I need to do is upgrade the brakes to slow it down. They don't slow down as fast as they accelerate.

Another problem is the suspension. The high center of gravity/low roll center make it difficult to do evasive action at high speed.
Guy I work with is telling me he was on his way to work driving his Chevy Z71 4x4. He is going up good incline. Says he got passed by a F350 6.0 and get this, pulling a trailer with back hoe on it!
