Attaching shock's

Need help quick!!!!!
I am installing new shocks on my truck I bought bilstiens. I have the old ones off and the new ones on, but there isn't a nut thing on the new shocks like the stock ones had and when i try to tighten them it just spins the shock. What can i do? do i put another nut on the other end? the shocks only came with one nut. any help would be great
