Heloo, I just purchased a 94 ford bronco eddie bauer edd. When i got the car, the 4x4 worked fine but now its shot. I replaced the circut breaker and the power supply is still good, but the 4x4 still wont work. When i wiggle the circut breaker the indicator lights will flash but wont stay on. Help if you can, although i heard that Ford's auto locking hubs werent reliable, so if you could point be to a good online 4x4 site where i gan buy some manual lockers that would be great too.
I hope to start posting more, and will have pics of the truck up soon. Its real nice. Anyways, Thankes for the help! -Jason
ABSOLUTELY!!! THe auto hubs were garbage. THey are OK if you only use em for the little snow falls on the streets. Go the www.warn.com Warns hubs start about 65 and go up from there. If you have the 5 or 6 bolt hubs, then all you need is the replacement manual hubs. If you have the 3 bolt hubs, then you will need to get the conversion kit which runs about $25. Do a search for BALL JOINTS in this forum, there is a great instruction posted on how to take apart the hubs. Just stop when you get them out.
You should use the search function and search for 'auto hubs' in the big bronco forum. You will find more than enough information to help diagnose youre problem.

The hubs wouldnt cause this at all, the hubs have no electrical connection to the 4wd button what so ever. When you push 4wd, the transfer case engauges, turns the shafts, which in turn causes the hubs to engauge. Bad hubs would have nothing at all to do with your 4wd not coming on at all. Oh, and for everyone that says the Ford Auto hubs were garbage, I've had 4 Ford trucks, all 1988-1996, with auto hubs and have never had a problem, except for my '92 Bronco EB, which the hubs just failed at 158,000 miles.
I fixed the problem a long time ago, it was the t-case shift motor, or rather the t case itself. the pin that points to 2WD normally was stuck between 2WD and 4HI and since the motor is "smart", it wouldnt shift because everything wasnt in its right place. i also took apart the shift motor and cleaned it, just to be sure. I still got the warn hubs because of the fact that autohubs are not reliable. Works great now!
My 95 Bronco auto hubs quit working at 40K miles. Installed manuel Warn Hubs w.conversion kit. Best thing I ever did. Have also notice improved gas mileage
