part name?
sensor go's in to near the thermostat housing,
that the heater to Thermostat hose go's on to
truck is a 1995 F150 4.9L 4X4 5speed
Check under the rear-most intake runner where it attaches to the head.
The coolant outlet hose connects a housing at the front of the engine. This gizmo is called a water outlet connection and you remove it to replace the thermostat.
Lou Braun
the "coolant" or TEMP sensor near the thermostat is the INTAKE AIR TEMP SENSOR and is located on the #1 runner for the intake manifold.
Lou is correct re: temp sensor itself....it's under the #6 intake runner on the head.

The thing I need Threads in to the Thermostat
housing and has a sensor in it (dont know wich)
PLUS the heater core to Thermostat hose,go's on to it OK.
1st off instead of yelling why not post a picture of what you're talking about and put a couple of arrows pointing to spots of interest.
I went out and looked at my 93 which is totally different than my old 87 at the thermostat.
What you are looking for is a temperature sensor for the computer. Specifically a Coolant Temperature Sender/Switch
more specifically a GP Sorensen TSU83 or a Wells SU201. These part #'s are from Parts America and Autozone. I'd go for the GP Sorensen over the Wells.
The OEM #'s are ......... O.E.M. #D84Y-12A648-A, DY303, DY681, E0AZ-12A648-A, E1AF-12A648-AA, E1AZ-12A648-A, E4AF-12A648-AA, E6DZ-12A648-A, E6DZ-19E702-A, E80Y-19E702-A, F1AZ-12A648-B, F2AF-12A648-AA, F2AZ-12A648-A, F2VY-12A648-A, F3XA-12A648-A, ZZL0-18-707, ZZM0-18-707
Pull it off and match one of those #'s. If a match then ya got the correct part interchange.
Also there are 1/2 dozen listings for heater hoses. Best thing to do is to remove the water outlet with the hose attached and take it to local parts store. Or drive the truck down there and get one of the guys there to look at what you want. They can match it up easily.
If they don't have exact replacement you can cut the hose off the metal tube (provided that the metal tube is in good shape) and slip a new heater hose over the stub. DOUBLE CLAMP!!!
