Ordered my F150 Scab, Lariat, 6', Black Two tone, All options, the only one I don't have is the Heavy Duty package.
I was wondering, I ordered it on Feb 10, 2004, and I still don't have my VIN, the dealer is telling me approx. another 2 weeks to get my VIN, and then maybe delivery for around April 15, 2004.
Is that how long the deliveries are in Canada, or is mine an exception, because I took too many options.
After reading a lot of these posts, you guys are making me sick of envy, I'm having trouble sleeping these days. This is going to be my first truck, I've always owned small cars, the biggest was a VW Jetta TDI. But after test driving this truck, I don't know why I never had a truck before (I guess the gas issue would be one of them)
So I was just wondering if anybody else in Canada has to wait so long for their truck?
I live in Switzerland. I ordered my F-150 in the beginning of Feb. My dealership claimed that my truck is already built but is stuck at factory/storage area waiting for transportation due to the CAW strikes?!
Now today the dealership in Switzerland told me that now they are ready to ship to Europe.
I live in Vancouver, BC and ordered on 02-12-04 I received my VIN about 1-2 weeks ago and was told it should be here about April 15th as well. The only difference is that I ordered a SCrew.
I am dying as well - cant sleep and when I do, I dream about it. LOL - Anyways here's hopeing we get them on time.
Hmm yes i remember trying to wait for my screw when i ordered it in mid novemver and it arrived on mid feb about a 3 months wait for me. Just hang in there guys ... And don't forget to post some pictures too
Why do we love these trucks so much? I've never felt this way about a vehicle before...lol. I hope you guys get yours soon. I make excuses to the wife to go to the store just to drive it.
I don't have to make excuses to go out - My wife is constantly asking me to go to the store for her. That's cool cause I will want to spend more time in my new truck when it comes. It is a bit of a pain at this time, but not whent he truck arrives -
WinterR6, i'd order my with the DVD entertainment center, the one with the over head dvd but due to high demand from the Ford factory they were very late for the delivery. So my local dealer gave me the one with 2 lcd screen behind the headrest with the dvd player. See my gallery for the dvd entertainment
jmizell, thanks for the comment. Unfortunately the lcd screen doesn't tilt. I have 2 daughter ages 5 and 2 , and no problems at all viewing the screen. You can adjust the brightness and the contrast per each screen to your likeness. It's great when your travelling at long distance, it keep your kids entertained and you don't have to hear them yelling at each other
