Oil Leak

I just changed the head gaskets on my 92 4.0 and now my truck has an oil leak. I cant find where its coming from for the life of me. Is there any tricks I can do to find out where its coming from? The oil is dripping from around the bell housing but is coming from somwhere up higher, I just cant find where.

Wash the engine with a good cleaner and get it "spotless". Use a brush, high pressure hot water, and elbow grease. Run the engine for a few minutes without driving it to see if you can spot the leak. If you drive it, the oil tends to migrate around with the wind making it more difficult to find. Do a compression check. If all is well there, the head gaskets are probably OK. Check the rocker arm covers again to make sure the gaskets didn't get pinched and the bolts are tight. Also make sure the reinforcement washer are installed on the rocker arm covers, and torque the bolts 60-72 inch pounds starting from the center and working out. My best guess is rocker arm cover or distributor shaft (or camshaft position sensor) O-ring. Good luck.

Well, the wind has nothing to do with it because I haven't driven it yet, it isnt registered right now. But I will clean the engine and check it out. I sure hope its the valve covers, I dont want to have to change the head gasket again, that wasnt very fun.
