Water pump

Just a FYI post. I was changing the oil on my PSD the other day and I felt something driping on me. I looked up and realized the water pump was leaking. As a former ford tech I replaced alot of these under warranty , so I expected it to leakas it was the original with 176,000. I found a decent rebuilt one at carquest with a 2 year warranty that listed for 181.00 but I got it for 129.00. it sure beats the 488.00 ford wanted for a rebuilt one. its not listed in the the normal parts screen. you would have to ask for it by the part # 7314X . I hope this will save someone some money. It even comes with the gaskets. That pump is for 94.5 - 97. The one for 99-02 is #7315X.

If you go to Orielly Auto Parts you can get a water pump with a Lifetime warranty. I don't remember the price but I have put just about 90,000 miles on it and it has outlasted the factory one.

Thanks KMill35, I called all of the locals-O'Reilly, AutoZone, Napa and the local dealer. Price =$200-300 for both rebuilt and new.

Call a Carquest store about 45 miles from me with a new waterpump for, get this, $129.30. Lifetime warranty...
