adjusting efi
i have a 1990 f150 4x4 with a 302, and is running rich. i was wondering if there is any way to lean it out. i did'nt know if you can do this with timing, or if there is a sensor or relay some where that controls this. the tube that recirculate the exaust has been disconected this may be some of the problem i don't know. any help or info will be apperciated thanks

Pull the codes from the computer. It will usually point you in the right direction, and should not run lean on its own. One of the sensors is giving a reading that would cause the computer to inject more fuel. I would test fuel pressure, the fuel pressure regulator (make sure the diaphragm isn't punctured and fuel is being pulled into the vacuum line), and the oxygen sensor. I don't think EGR being disconnected would make it run rich. Pull the codes to start with for sure.
