I have 3" pipe from the y pipe back with magnaflow muffler...I love it. I couldn't tell a difference in power, but it did sound really nice. Since I got my diablo chip it got louder also...so did the MAC intake..

Just a muffler swap isnt going to net you much at all. To really notice power, you need to change alot of exhaust components. ChevySniper, hows that diablo? What kind of exhaust note change was noticed with it?

I went thru a few well known brands of mufflers and decided Magnaflow 24" single in single out had the best tone outside and quietest internal ride. I did notice more something and it is not because it just sounded better. Going fromm a 36" stock trash can muffler to a performance type did have an effect.
keep in mind your more powerfull motor and production year will have many differences. Some of the members will or allready have some great suggestions for you.
