Has anybody read the article in the Sept/Oct 2003 issue of Truck Trend about the face-off between the new 6.0L Powerstroke and the Duramax? Someone was telling me about how the 6.0L smoked the Duramax in all the tests, and I want my hands on a copy of that article. I've tried contacting the company and have heard nothing from them. Didn't know if anybody had that article or not??
Thanks.
Farmboy, I saw that to, I think it was also lined up with the new cummins to but if I remember right it was a 1 ton crew cab ford doolie,1 ton crew cab dodge doolie and a 3/4 ton single cab chevy and yes the duramax won. I would like to see that line up of all three similiar trucks off the show room floor. I might be wrong about the truck trend but thats what I thought. I got a good buddy that has stacks of them I will go through them and see if I cant get a copy to you.
The extended powerband has alot to do with it, but I think its the EVRT. As many of you 6.0 owners know, it spools up whenever theres a load on the engine, giving you a better boost off the line and otherwise. If you ask me, thats why the 6.0 Powerstoke beat the duramax. Or am I just sadly mistaken?
