Who among us has seen these, and do you think that they are? The way I see it, they are just stating fact. Also were does Kerry get off by saying that these are attacking him, if my memory serves me correct through out the primary every Democratic canidate was attacking Bush, no one else just Bush. And then the icing on the cake was what he said yesterday about Bush being corrupt, now I think that is way over the line and I also think that will come bask and bite him later. In closing I think what he is doing is just going to help him implode like our favorite Democrate Dean. What are your thoughts?
I think it's laughable to call it an attack ad. It is a critical ad, nothing more. As far as the Dems are concerned , anything negative out of Bush's mouth is an attack. For months now they have been attacking Bush, calling him a gangster, a crook and a liar. That he knew 9/11 would happen and didn't stop it, that the war was cooked up in Texas for political gain, etc, etc. Bush has been a good sport about it. I have yet to hear him attack anyone about anything. He's just sitting back and watching these clowns stew in their own hate and anger.
Yep, politics as usual. Kerry has been viciously attacking Bush for months with lies and name calling. When an add is run exposing Kerry's voting record - that's not fair! This is a effective tactic of the democrats since the media favors them so much.
After Kerry vicously calls all republicans 'lying crooks' Bush responds with facts about Kerry's past.
How does the AP respond? With the following:
Bush Ads Go Negative; Kerry Refutes Claim
Buried near the bottom of the article do they mention that Kerry has run over a dozen negative adds himself. I'm surprised that they included that little factoid in the article at all, but of course they never came out with headlines like "Kerry Goes Negative", they were, "Bush Tries to Defend His Record".
I don't tink they were attack ads. Personally, I can't wait to see the gloves come off! Let's see an old fashioned donnybrook between these two camps!!
2 things I know about Texans in general:
1) They are ALL very proud of being from Texas (not sure if that's relevant here), and
2) none are afraid of a fight.
Attack? NO, critical and factual yes. If Kerry thinks he's under attack now, what until June or July.
Also, did anyone hear the "off mike" comment that Kerry made about Bush? He made the comment when he thought the mike was off and Kerry was responding to a supporter who urged him to take on Bush.
Kerry replied: "Let me tell you, we've just begun to fight. We're going to keep pounding. These guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group I've ever seen. It's scary."
It's just an ad.I saw nothing that would make me believe it was an attact ad.Bush will come under attact in the next few ads to counter Bushs ad.The real mudslinging hasn't started yet.Bushs record will stand on it's own.Kerry will be able to deny a few of the acusations.Bush has little wiggle room.He can't run from his spending records. He can't run from his nation building. He can't run from the fact that we are losing high paying jobs to overseas countries. He can't run from the record deficits. It also seems the strong man from Texas can't even handle N.Korea.There are a few more, but thats the short list.He claims he dealt strongly with the terrorists.Seems he did little until we we actually attacked. They were a threat befor he took office.Kinda like fixing the fence after the cow gets out.The next few ads will be interesting.
This is how I see the pitcher here for years the republicans have aways ganged up on the democrats and the democrats have not said to much. But when the democrats gang up the republicans the republicans cry foul like little school kids.they say there beating on Bush again. But the wakeup call here folks is the democrats also have the right like anybody else does to say what they beleve in too. I used to be a republican but after hearing them wine worse than kids that cant get there way I switched to a diferent party but it was not the democrats ether. I think it is time for all partys to growup.
Huh? I guess it really does take a selective memory to be a Democrat.
Do you recall the Oklahoma Bombing? The first thing that Clinton did was to try to blame "Right Wing Hate Talk Radio" for it.
How many times did you hear Hillary whine about Republicans "out to get Bill" and then spew venom against all Republicans without any response?
How many times have you heard Democrats in Congress try to scare Seniors with claims that the Republicans were going to starve them into eating dog food?
The list is endless. The bottom line is that neither party has EVER been shy about attacking their opponents, no more, no less.
The new battleground is the soft money attack ads that may or may not circumvent McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform. George Soros, a Left Wing Luney with tons of money, has pledged what amounts to a blank check to the Democrats to defeat Bush.
This is a new, unexpected consequence of campaihn reform from what I can tell.
Ever hear about all those racist Republicans and how the democrat party is for inclusion of all? Lets hear what a few in the major players in democrat party have been quoted saying:
Rep. Corrine Brown, D-Fla.: during a recent congressional hearing, for declaring the Bush policy toward Haiti "racist" and complaining that the hearing's administration officials were "a bunch of white men." When Assistant Secretary of State Roger Noriega, a Mexican-American, protested being called "white" and "racist," Brown snapped, "You all look alike to me."
Or take the colorful career of Al Sharpton. In a short-memory culture, we are not supposed to recall that Sharpton was an unprincipled racial agitator in New York. He was a co-perpetrator of the Tawana Brawley rape hoax. He also helped inflame a dispute between a Jewish storeowner and a black tenant. Picketers from Sharpton's National Action Network, sometimes joined by Sharpton himself, screamed about "bloodsucking Jews" and "Jew *******s," threatening to burn down the building. After weeks of this, one of the protesters ran into the building, shot three people and ignited a fire than left seven dead. Sharpton's role in this bloodbath disappeared down the memory hole. Now he is a "civil rights leader."
Then there was New York City Councilman Charles Barron who said, addressing a 2002 Washington, D.C., reparations gathering, "I want to go up to the closest white person and say, 'You can't understand this, it's a black thing,' and then slap him, just for my mental health."
Then there's the liberal California Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante, who while giving a Black History Month speech used the word "n*****." He claimed it was a slip of the tongue and got off the hook.
Sen. Robert "former Klansman" (or Sheets) Byrd used the term n***** in a Fox News interview. His Senate colleague Democrat Ernest Hollings told reporters in December 1993 that he attended international summits alongside "these potentates from down in Africa." He added, "Rather than eating each other, they'd just come up and get a good square meal in Geneva."

I heard that and also later on the floor of Congress when he said that what he said was the truth and he wouldn't apologize. ( I'm paraphrasing what horseface said, mind you.)
