Tranny Swap
While I would recommend a truck with the same engine (302) any 92-96 F-150 with a 300- I6 or the 351w will work as well.
This will assure that you get all of the parts that are necessary and also you will have a guide to look off of just by examining the other truck.
This swap is done all the time, it isnt a difficult swap by any means, but it can be very time consuming, so dont go getting cocky, because nobody can ever anticipate what problems will come up when your messing around with these trucks.
Anyhow, if you need any other help or any questions, just use the search function here in the forums, its probably already been discussed.
If you can't find it, then go ahead and post it, but only after you've searched.
DUPLICATE POSTS ARE ANNOYING!
And also remember if you do have to post any questions to be patient.

In my case I will have some drive shaft work that will need to be done because the ZF is longer than my C6 but I don't think you will have that problem.
I am also not sure about my or your computer. If you have an E4OD you will have to swap out computers wih a truck that had a manual trans.
The transfer case should bolt up with no problems.
I would like to replace my column with a manual one if I can find but it will have to be a tilt column.
If you do decide to swap a 5-speed in go with the ZF. I think the swap is pretty straight forward except for the computer issues that may come up. But I am only concerned myself because I dont' what will and will not work yet.
