Tymar-type intakes

I just installed mine yesterday and didn't really notice any more turbo whine like some of you have reported, but I did notice about 100 degree cooler EGT on the highway. No noticable power differences either. What differences have you guys noticed?

I did not install the tymar or homade tymar, but rather modded my stock air box. I used to feel my turbo used to kick in about 2100 RPMs, now you can feel it at 1800 RPMs. Instead of being a huge kick in the pants, it is more of a steady build up.

If you haven't done any other mods and air intake will only make minimal gains to your performance. I agree with HDMustF250, the buildup is more stady instead of the "kick in the pants" that I used to feel around 2000 RPMs.

"Inhale, Exhale!" Truck will run better, even stock, if you do the exaust next. If you want the "kick in the pants," your going to have to do some tuning. I'd advise putting gauges on first though. It's fun to get this Mod thing!
