I have a problem driving at night and would like to add a set of driving lights to my 87 BII. I've checked out AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, Wal-Mart, etc.. for a set to buy. There are so many variations that it tends to get a bit confusing. All my driving is done on the roads, no off-roading.
Any suggestions on quality, street legal, driving lights?
Piaa and Hella are probably two of the best. The Piaa's have a pretty price that come along with them, but they are made well and to me are worth it if you drive a lot. I replaced my factory lights with a set of Hellas. They are a little larger, and do a much better job IMO. If you are looking for an affordable set that will last and are good quality, I would recommend the Hellas.
For Parks911: Yes I have been blinded by poorly aimed driving lights and head lights. Drives me nuts. I do plan on installing them "correctly" to avoid hampering oncoming drivers. Stop driving at night is not an option. While I drive as little as possible now, I need the option, ie., a run to the store, on vacation, etc.. Thanks for your concern though.
I'll take a look at the Hellas. I noticed quite a few of them on eBay.
