POWERFORCE CHIP
I AM LOOKING TO PUT A PERFOMANCE CHIP IN MY 99 F-250 PSD AND WANTING TO GET SOME USER FEEDBACK. THE LOCAL FORD DEALER HERE INSTALLS A CHIP CALLED "POWERFORCE", OF COURSE THEY ARE OUTRAGEOUS ON THEIR PRICE. I HAVE FOUND LIMITED INFO. ON THIS CHIP VIA THE INTERNET, I THINK IT IS A FAIRLY NEW COMPANY THAT IS MANUFACTURING THIS PRODUCT. I TALKED WITH A REPRESETIVE FROM HYPERDIESEL AND HE GAVE ME SOME INTERESTION NUMBERS. JUST WANTING TO GET SOME FEEDBACK IF ANYONE COULD HELP.

POWERFORCE CHIP
Anything over 50-70 hp will give you problems if towing and even if not towing exhaust mods are recommended because chips over this range greatly increase exhaust temps. Most of the chip companies sell several different chips for the PSD, rated at different horse power ratings. Stay clear of the higher end of the spectrum unless the dealer informs you of the exhaust changes needed.
