Yes, they do, but the reason is, to keep the driver
as far from the wall as possible, NASCAR took some
drivers/cars to Oz (Australia) and they ran the tracks
backwards (left turns), were the Ozzie drivers only
turn right on the ovals...

Why always counter clockwise

All of Europe and the Rest of the America's turn right!
I raced in Canada. On a Road Race course (Quoquitlam BC) and I never noticed the difference. It was scarey no matter what direction I was going.
