Engine Hesistation

I have a 1987 Ford Ranger 4x4. I only have a problem when the engine warms up after about 15 minutes of driving. I will be going smoothly down the highway, and then the engine will hestiate untill I press the gas pedal all the way down. Then it will kick in, and I can release the pressure from the gas pedal untill it is in its original position. After about 10 seconds, I have to go through the same process. I have replaced the plugs and the air filter. The cables and distrubutor are new. The engine has been replaced since I bought the truck. I believe that the engine came from a Bronco 2. Any tips on what I could do would be awesome.

have you changed the fuel filter, oil, oil filter, pcv valve, check the fuel pump and fuel pressure? also when you changed the plugs did you change the plug wires?

also mayby try some Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel to clean the fuel injectors and oil to lube things up. it works wonders.

When you go WOT it goes into open loop, disregarding the sensors. Pull the codes even if you don't have a CEL. Also test fuel pressure and check the fuel pressure regulator's vacuum line for gas.
