jakeisK98, thanks for the pics. Now I know what saddles tanks are!
Does anyboy know if here is such a thing as a tank that mounts in the bed over the wheel well? This sure would help with traction. do you think this would be dangerous or illegal?
I have removed the in-cab tank for a subwoofer ans storage. I remove dthe fram mounted aux tank to run true low restriction dual exhaust.
But, at 8 MPG, I need plenty of go juice. So I installed a 90 gallon L Shaped tank in the bed. It's working, but a bit big and heavy.
Gracias Jake. I had no idea those tanks were mounted to the bed. What is the purpose? I have a good idea of the shape and size. If everything works well, no leaks, no punctures, no holes, no rust in the tank, would it smell? I read in a post that in 1956, seatbelts, turnsignals, and windshield washers were offered. I thought those were options only beginning in 1957.
I know that you can buy tanks to go in the bed that are a combined tool box and aux tank. They fit behind the cab and look like a tool box. I have a Bronco and many places offer a 12 gallon aux tank and a system that eliminates the switch under the seat. I am not sure if the Bronco aux tank would fit on the F100?
