Re-Calibration
Can someone tell me if you increase your tire size do you have to do something with the ABS system. When I increased sizes (265 to 285) my ABS light stays on. I was told that you may have to re-calibrate the speedometer. From what I have researched the ABS system sensors are calibrated with the axle rotation or so many rpm and if you rapidly apply the brake the rapid deacceleration causes the ABS to activate. I dont know if this is exactly correct but somebody out there
should be able to expand or correct me on this.

Well, running my 38"s I have never had the ABS light come on, and it only activates under extreme stops.
You can have the dealer re cal your speedo, but I don't think it affects your ABS at all.
