Brakes Release / Possible ABS Issue?
I've had my van in the shop now for 3 days. They can't seem to figure out why when during hard braking, we seem to get a release of brake pressure.
Driving at 35-40, do hard braking like you're coming to a stop sign. At about 75% through the stop (so you are still moving), the brakes all the sudden release quickly, the pedal goes down, and then it happens once more within a 1/2 second. The ABS is not firing (you can hear that pump when we do a ABS stop). This condition happens on dry pavement. Tech says all the speed sensors are working and signal levels are good and there are no reports codes by the electronics.
The master cylinder was already replaced and that did not fix or change the problem.
Any suggestions?
