Practice rebuild engine?

Practice rebuild engine?
Local yards, penny saver, classifeds, etc. are all on my list but thought I'd ask here as well.
Anyone within a reasonable drive from Charlotte, NC have an engine they'd turn loose of?
A friend and I are going to rebuild my 460 and his chevy 327 this year and since it's been a while since I pulled one down and he never has we thought a practice run might be in order.
We don't really care what it is other than it should be a V6 or V8 and something we can easily let go after we're done. We'd also prefer one that wouldn't need boring or machining.
