stalling engine

stalling engine

i bought a used 2001 f-250 4x4 7.3 with 20,000 miles about
3 times when applying the brake the truck starts to jerk and
then the engine dies i will start right back up just fine. i took
back to dealer to have the codes cheked but were none.
any ideas?

maybe theres a vacuum leak somewhere.sounds like your brakes are takin all the vacuum away from the engine

can low oil level cause this problem i heard it could somehow?

No vacuum for a diesel. Maybe the torque convertor is staying locked up assuming it is an automatic.

If the torque convertor is staying locked, It'll feel like a standard transmission does when you come to a stop and forget to push the clutch pedal in. It usually sets a code if this happens but not always.
