Rev Limiter
I'm new here, just picked up a F-250 SD V10. Anyway, I was curious if anyone know how to get around the rev limiter. Kind of annoying that it kicks in at 95. Can it be disabled or will I have to get an aftermarket chip or some bolt on device?

I'm also new here, and have seen a couple references to a governor or rev limiter. Is such a device on all SDs? How is it implemented? In the ECU (seems likely)?
I've not challenged the 95 mph with my F350 V10, but it certainly gets to 90 smartly! With the "Q" rated Flintstone tires, I'm not too anxious to find out whether the 98 mph speed rating is a hard limit or not.
Thanx,
Bob

LOL, I never thought about those tires. Guess, I got the smae ones, and I guess I should consider getting rid of them. As far as I know almost all trucks are governed. Chevy's kick in at 97, my Tundra kicked in at 105. On my F-250 it's 95 and it's not a hard limiter like on the Chevy, it just starts to lightly stutter.
