My electrical system works great until I get up to a higher rpm, then the lights dim, and the battery light comes on. As soon as I lower rpm's back everything works fine again. Checked all connections. Any Ideas?

Some other guys on here have had rpm related charging problems, and it has turned out to be the alternator. And they were taking them to the store, and the alt's checked good, but they finally replaced it anyway, and the problem went away.

It is the alt. My f25 did it at high rpm and it run that way for a long time until one day the light ouldn't go off. Most of the time they can be rebuilt cheaper than a new one.

Are they easy to rebuild, or should I let someone else do it?
