ID a Dump Truck
The engine looks similar to the 352-390 engine family class. The engine sports a generator and the distributor vacuum advance is factory hard lined to the carburator. Carb has an oil based breather.
It has a 5 speed manual transmission with reverse all the way to the right and up and granny first all the way to the right and down. It is a single axle with an electric spit shifter.
Upon first glance it appears to be an early 1960's model. Can someone point me to some links to pics of trucks around those years? I remember driving some like it when I was a kid working at a feed mill but I don't know the exact year.
TIA
1. In the glove box;
2. Down alongside the radiator supporting rail, most likely on the passenger side;
3. On top of the frame rail on the passenger side. You will most likely need a wirebrush to scrape dirt and rust off. If is is as far back as to be under the cab, you will need a small mirror.
It looks a lot like your 65 but it has the parking lights in the grill beside the headlights instead of just above the headlights. It also has parking lights out on the fenders too.
One other distinguishing feature is the battery is located in the passenger side floorboard.
